We made it through week 1! I had a great time getting to know all of your kids and I can't wait to share my year with them! If you haven't signed up for SeeSaw yet I would highly encourage you to do so. I post pictures there as we do class activities and the kids post assignments there that you can see and comment on. Last week they did a great video recording of themselves talking about germs and how hand sanitizer can kill the germs. If you haven't seen it yet go check it out! This is what we are going to do this week....
Math: We will continue looking at place value. We will also be using place value to compare numbers and evaluate the value of digits in a number. We will have a small assessment on Friday over this topic. Science: We are going to learn about animals this week and analyze the difference between vertibrates and invertibrates. Writing: We will continue working on the kids narrative story ideas that they came up with last week and get them put on paper. Reading: We will continue to build our reading stamina and talk about ways to track our reading. We will also discuss ways to respond to our reading using journals. We will have extra PE on Tuesday this week and regular PE on Wednesday so be sure and have your student wear tennis shoes. Also, please remind them to charge their chromebook nightly and always bring it back to school the next day. It's going to be a great week!

Chandler had a great week. He is so happy to be back at school, despite some nervousness before hand. Thanks so much for making this a super simple transition for him!!
